Those of you who know me probably don’t think of me as a religious person.� I don’t speak much about my faith but last weekend I spoke in church.� You might even say I preached. I spoke on hope, faith and fear.� I spoke about the difference between hope and faith.� Then I told everyone about how faith in God’s plan for your life ends any fear you have about things to come.

I’ve been thinking about the way things have changed over the years.� One of them is how my work space has changed.� When I started in the computer business I owned shop.� It was called Business MicroSystems.� I owned and shared the office space with my partner, Bob Johnson. I consider myself a systems administrator.� That’s a guy who makes sure the computers for the company keep running. A long time ago, (about when I started) this job was done by people in white cotes like doctors.

Not so long ago I accused all my friends of having vanished from the Internet.� Each had taken their websites off the net or where in the progresss of moving.� I did find them again. Now I have been so busy for so long, I have not updated my own website for months. I’m guilty as charged.� I want everyone to know I’m doing find.� More soon.

My son Nathan called this morning with news he was the first to find a way into the file system of the new iPhone release 1.1.1. So it is a proud day for an old hacker.� I wish I could say I taught him every thing he knows. :-) This is such big news it even made it to the top ten list of Digg. (Nathan is Edgan).� Nathan has been obsessed with cracking the iPhone since he purchased on.

I received PayPal Security key in the mail today. I have been waiting for three weeks for it to arrive. Activation was easy.� Thank you PayPal.� I hope more companies follow your lead. I tried my PayPal Security Key on the MyPW website. The hope was I could activate it there as well.� It didn’t work.� I was not expecting it to. I’m still seeking the perfect login process.� I’m excited because I see hope.

I have no idea what the examiner will give me to install Linux. I only know I will be ask to install it. Because I need to install Linux several times to learn what I need I have chosen to installing Linux over the network.� This is also part of what you need to know for the test. This can be done with NFS, FTP or HTTPD.� I decided to do all three.
