Geocaching

I have been looking for a little adventure and I’ve found it. Geocaching is a simple fun game you can play with a GPS. My trip to Quandry peek went bust when both Linda and Traci had other plans for the weekend. But, I did purchase a GPS to help find my way. So I have put it to use Geocaching. The image is of my first find. I have found two others at this point.

Life and Death in Oklahoma

Why are the people who say "life is sacred" and worry about stem cell research also the people who want to kill Iraqies at the cost of their own brothers and sisters? If killing Iraqies is OK why can’t we harvist all of their stem cells for our research? Hell, (Which is where I think these thoughts will take you.) the money we would make off the cheep research and medical treatments would play for killing them off.

Quandry Peek

I have chosen Quandry Peek as my first outdoors adventure in over ten year.

I’m working on taking my first trip attempt this peek this weekend. The weather has not been holding up this year. Day time highs are in the hight 40s and night time temps are in the low 20s. Snow has been falling early this year. Even with heavy snow I hope to get above the tree line.

Dad’s Girl Band

biddies.jpg

My Lascivious Biddies CD came in today. :-) I’ve talked about the Biddies so much in the last week, when the CD’s arrived my daughter (13) called me at work and said, "Your Girl band CD are here." Yup, that’s perfect. In a world full of boy bands, there is a Girl Band for me.

Critics are supposed to be critical, but I’m having a hard time finding something bad to say.

Lee Ann, Amanda, Deidre and Saskia are delisus. Their music is pure ear candy for anyone tired of what goes for music these days.

F the RIAA

    I thought music was dead.

I’m a product of the late 60’s and early 70’s. Along with my youth, my passion for music died. I thought this was a natural process. Every generation of kids find a voice in the music that speaks to them.

What I’ve just learned is the youth and even us adults (I’m 49) have been feed so much crap over time we have forgotten what real music is like. The Recording Industry has taken control over almost every outlet and distribution channel and through them given us cheap, plastic, over processed crap.

I’m here to say, REAL MUSIC LIVES!!!
